Arian Cymru (Money Wales) is an independent, non partisan, non charity Welsh economic reform organisation. Its main objectives are to seek viable alternatives to an unsustainable debt-based economy and to increase understanding of the financial system in general. Arian Cymru receives no financial support from public or third sector bodies and is entirely self supported and self financed.
With its focus firmly on Wales in the world, it will seek to start this by encouraging discussion on issues such as a public Bank of Wales, more effective help for businesses, complementary currencies and other forms of viable alternative banking.
We aim to reach out and help develop better insight about what is wrong with the current economic system and how Wales can lead the way in developing responsible banking and innovative solutions for the future. We believe that a small nation can make a big difference.
